The SS Kaiser-i-Hindweighed 11,430 tons with an average cruise speed of 18 knots or 33.33 kmph. It was owned by the P & O SN Co, London.  Her name is Hindi for 'Empress of India'.

She serviced London and Bombay primarily. Later requisitioned for transport in World War I, she carried British, French & Indian troops.

1938: The P & O liner Kaiser-I-Hind at Tilbury docks. The ship is due to be scrapped and is flying a 72 foot long pennant, which is a yard in length for every year of her service.
